PRS brand is known for its consistent quality and is available in various types, such as
maida , atta , rice flour , sooji , and ragi flour catering to different culinary needs.
Heat 1 tablespoon ghee let it melt. And Add 1 cup PRS RAVA / sooji
to it and start roasting.
Roast for 2-3 mins in low flame without changing the color.Keep
stirring to avoid burning at the bottom.Switch off and transfer to a
bowl and set aside.
Keep the same kadai add 2 tablespoon oil and heat it. Add 1 teaspoon
mustard seeds let it splutter. Add 1 teaspoon chana dal, 1/2
teaspoon urad dal, few curry leaves let it splutter.
Add 2 green chillies slitted along with 1 heaped teaspoon ginger
garlic paste and Saute for a minute.
Add 1/2 cup onion finely chopped along with required salt to taste
and 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder.Saute until it turns transparent.
Add 1/2 cup tomatoes finely chopped. Saute until mushy and raw smell
leaves.
Add 1/4 cup carrot finely chopped, 1/3 cup green peas, 1/4 cup
sliced beans.Saute for 2 mins.
Add 1/4 cup water.
Give a quick mix.
Cook covered for 5-7 mins or until the veggies are almost cooked.
Then open and give a quick stir.
Add roasted PRS RAVA / sooji.Give a quick mix.
Boil 3 cups of water.
Start stirring continuously. It will start getting thicker.
At this stage pat it well on the top.
Cook covered for 3 mins in low flame.
By now the veggies and rava will be fully cooked. Open and give a
quick stir.
Now add coriander leaves, 1 tablespoon ghee.
Hot , soft and melt in the mouth PRS Rava Khichadi is READY.
2. Ragi Dosa / Ragi chilla ( PRS Ragi flour )
RAGI DOSA / Chilla
Ingredients :
1 cup PRS ragi flour
1 cup PRS rava
Green Chillies - 2
1/2 Cup PRS RICE
flour
1/2 Cup Curd
1 inch ginger, finely
chopped
1 green chilli,
finely chopped
Few curry leaves,
chopped
2 tbsp coriander
1 onion, finely
chopped
1 tsp cumin / jeera
1/2 tsp pepper,
crushed
salt as required
3 1/2 cup water
Oil for roasting
Instructions :
Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup PRS ragi flour, 1 cup PRS
rava, ½ cup PRS rice flour.
Also add 1/2 cup curd, 1 inch ginger, 1 green chilli, few curry
leaves, 2 tbsp coriander, 1 onion, 1 tsp cumin, ½ tsp pepper and 1
tsp salt.
Add 1-2 cup water and mix well to form a lump free batter.
Rest the batter for 15-20 minutes.
Add 1 1/2 cups of water or as required and prepare a flowing
consistency batter.
Now carefully pour the dosa batter over hot tawa.
Sprinkle 1/2 or 1 tsp of oil from the top.
Once the dosa roasts to golden brown, flip over and cook.
Finally serve PRS ragi dosa immediately with mint chutney.
3. Kozhukattai ( PRS Rice flour )
Poorna kozhukattai
Ingredients :
For thengai poorna stuffing :
2 cup PRS rice flour
1 cup jaggery
1/4 cup water
2 cup grated coconut
1/4 tsp cardamom
powder
3 tablespoons Raisins
1/4 teaspoon Cardamom
Powder
1 tsp ghee
For thengai poorna stuffing :
2 cup water
1/2 tsp ghee
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions :
How to make thengai poorna stuffing :
Firstly, in a large kadai take 1 cup jaggery and 1/4 cup water. stir
until the jaggery melts completely.
Now add 2 cup coconut and mix well.
Continue to cook until the mixture starts to separate the pan and
holds the shape slightly.
Further, add ¼ tsp cardamom powder and 1 tsp ghee
Thengai poorna is ready for stuffing.
How to make dough for kozhukattai :
firstly, in a saucepan take 2 cup water and ½ tsp ghee
mix well and get to a rolling boil.
in a large bowl take 2 cup PRS rice flour and ¼ tsp salt.
now add hot water in batches and mix well.
add the water until the flour turns moist.
now start to knead the dough sprinkling water if requried.
knead for 5 minutes or until the dough turns soft.
kozhukattai dough is ready. wet your hand and knead if the dough
seems dry.
How to shape kozhukattai :
Firstly, to prepare modak shape, pinch a ball sized dough and
with
the help of both thumbs start pressing the edges and create a
dent
in the centre.
Now place a ball sized coconut stuffing in the centre.
Bring the edges together and seal by pressing.
Kozhukattai is ready to steam.
Place the modak / kozhukattai steamer leaving gaps in between.
Cover and steam the modak / kozhukattai for 10 minutes or till
the
shiny texture appears on them.
